Job Overview

The Practice Placement Facilitator role is an exciting opportunity for a degree-registered nurse to join our team and contribute to the education and development of student nurses. As a Practice Placement Facilitator, you will work closely with staff and students across all areas of the trust, promoting high-quality student experiences and excellence in nursing practice.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will spend the majority of their time in practice areas, providing support and guidance to students and staff. Key responsibilities include:

  • Contributing to educational audits and monitoring student evaluations to identify areas for improvement
  • Responding to concerns and promoting excellence in nursing practice
  • Acting as a role model for nursing, providing a professional and approachable presence in practice
  • Working collaboratively with Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and universities to ensure safe and effective student experiences
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in nursing
  • An assessor qualification
  • Strong IT skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and influencing skills
