Principal Commercial Manager - Supply Chain Leadership

A key opportunity for a seasoned Principal Commercial Manager to lead the team in delivering the strategic direction of Supply Chain Process and Performance. Working closely with the Strategic Supply Chain team and the Procurement operations team, providing them with effective governance, reports, systems, and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of Contractual governance and assist with negotiations within the Supply Chain sub-function by providing expertise in Contract law, terms and conditions, Non-Disclosure Agreements, and Parent Company Guarantees.
  • Maintain a library of clauses and standard contract templates ensuring compliance with mandatory flow down.
  • Provide strategic leadership and compliance with particular focus to Schedule 37 and 38 of the M&O contract to determine the risk and compliance agenda across Supply Chain.
  • Develop and maintain the risk management tracking and methodology for the Supply Chain sub-function.
  • Establish Supply Chain governance and reporting for the risk and compliance agenda, ensuring there is clear accountability for who is managing the risks; leadership understands and fulfills applicable risk reporting requirements, and ensures risk and compliance issues are escalated to an appropriate Risk Management and Compliance governance group.
  • Design and deliver best practice reporting of long and short run procurement activity improvement initiatives aimed at improving data visibility and accessibility that are high quality, timely, accurate, and exception-based management information.
Requirements
  • Track record of implementing policies/procedures in a large public sector organisation
  • Experience/knowledge in training, communications, rolling out new frameworks
  • Commercial Knowledge of Supplier Risk management
  • Stakeholder management
