About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at Woodland Group. As a key member of our Commercial team, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities and driving sales growth across our Northern territories.

Reporting directly to the Sales Director, you will work closely with our Commercial and Operations teams to identify and pursue new business opportunities aligned with our company strategy. Your primary focus will be on generating new sales and achieving maximum profitability against agreed targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through profiling potential new prospects.
  • Ensure accurate reporting of all sales activity and provide regular feedback to the Sales Director on any barriers to growth.
  • Communicate new customer requirements through established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPS) to ensure all relevant staff have access to the necessary information.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication links with other business units to identify potential sales opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales visits on our CRM system.
  • Stay up-to-date with company products and relevant sales techniques to ensure the sales role is carried out in line with our company values.
  • Research and analyze internal and external market information to enable the business units to identify opportunities and develop products and services that support business objectives.
  • Ensure presentations to customers are consistent and aligned with the Woodland brand.
  • Handle all customer communication in a timely manner.
  • Attend sales meetings and conferences as required.
