We are seeking an experienced Environmental Specialist to join our team at Thames Water. In this role, you will be responsible for managing environmental risks and opportunities for various capital projects throughout their lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure environmental compliance for our projects, implementing appropriate screening, de-risking and mitigation strategies.
  • Communicate environmental legislation and best practices effectively to stakeholders.
  • Support project teams in achieving their environmental duties.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with environmental legislation.

As part of our team, you'll work closely with project teams to ensure they meet their environmental obligations. You'll also communicate environmental legislation and best practices to stakeholders, and conduct site inspections to ensure compliance.

This is a full-time role based in Hybrid at either Hampton Coal Wharf in Surrey or Maple Lodge in Rickmansworth. You must be on-site for your projects and in the office on average 2-3 days a week. The role involves 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday. A driver's license and access to a car are required for this position.

  • A competitive salary between £40,000 to £50,000 per annum.
  • 26 days holiday per year, increasing to 30 with the length of service (Plus bank holidays).
