We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Advisor to join our team at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in providing financial advice and technical support to our Division of DCS.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the overspending cost centre process for the Division of DCS, preparing working files, analyzing variances, and generating action plans with budget holders.
- Maintain and analyze the general ledger to ensure accurate and timely production of budget statements.
- Produce reports to assist with monitoring and reviewing the monthly financial position, creating strong relationships with budget holders and providing support with all financial matters.
- Support the production of achievable financial plans for services in conjunction with the Financial Advisor.
- Identify and analyze financial variances and take appropriate action promptly and effectively.
- CCAB Foundation Level / AAT Technician Level / HNC/equivalent degree providing exemptions or equivalent work-based experience.
- Detailed understanding of accounting procedures.
- Evidence of a sound knowledge of NHS finance.
- Proven track record in formulating budgets for a department or section.
