Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Midwife Practitioner to join our team at North Bristol NHS Trust. As a Bank Midwife, you will be working as an autonomous practitioner, exercising clinical judgement for the assessment of care needs, the development, implementation, and evaluation of programmes of care in partnership with women within the practice area.

Main Duties

  • Assess and manage the care needs of women, exercising clinical judgement and decision-making skills.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate programmes of care in partnership with women, taking into account their individual needs and preferences.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care and support to women and their families.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and services.

Requirements

  • Registered Midwife with current live NMC Registration for more than 1 year.
  • Teaching and assessing qualification (998 or equivalent).
  • Evidence of post-registration education.
  • Practicing midwife with a minimum of one year's experience.
  • Antenatal/intrapartum and postnatal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and able to work co-operatively with all members of a multi-disciplinary team.
