Job Description

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead our engineering activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating, reporting on, and delivering project plans for all engineering activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning and Execution: Develop and implement project plans to ensure timely and within-budget delivery of engineering projects.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of engineers to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Client Liaison: Act as a liaison between Thermo Fisher Scientific and clients to ensure alignment of processes across multiple manufacturing sites.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical expertise and guidance to the engineering team on automation engineering topics.
  • Compliance and Quality: Ensure compliance with cGMP and site SOPs in the work area.
  • Energy Efficiency: Identify and drive energy improvements to reduce the site's overall energy consumption.
Requirements:
  • Education: Engineering degree qualified or equivalent experience in the pharmaceutical or related industry.
  • Experience: Strong project management background with an understanding of sterile manufacture.
  • Skills: Ability to utilize project management tools such as Microsoft Project, experience in handling and leading change, continuous improvements, people leadership, and client-facing experience.
