Job Overview

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting skills, excellent communication abilities, and a flexible approach to work. They will be responsible for working closely with the Senior Finance Team to develop the management accounting function and support the Group FC in various financial tasks.

This permanent position involves:

  • Assisting in the preparation of month-end accounts, including balance sheet reconciliations, journal preparation, and posting.
  • Supporting purchase ledger activities, such as checking invoice batches, reconciling accounts, and preparing payment runs.
  • Collaborating with the Group FC on credit control activities and checking credit card expenses.
  • Posting bank accounts and contributing to cash flow forecasting.

In addition, the successful candidate will assist with year-end accounts and audit packs.

Person Specification

To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Hold Part or fully Qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA certification.
  • Possess experience in a management accountant position or similar role, with notable expertise in preparing monthly accounts within strict deadlines.
  • Demonstrate experience in stakeholder management and/or business partnering across the wider business.
  • Show a strong attention to detail.
