Technical QA Analyst

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with QA leadership to develop and implement comprehensive testing strategies for our games.
  • Assist in establishing, evaluating, and improving QA workflows and processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and point of contact for specific game features, providing technical guidance and support to the team.
  • Mentor and develop the Tech QA Analyst and Associate Tech QA Analyst team, helping them to grow and succeed in their roles.
  • Serve as a QA communication liaison across studios, facilitating collaboration and ensuring seamless communication.
  • Create and distribute test plans for effective testing of game areas and related content, ensuring that our games meet the highest standards of quality.
  • Monitor and maintain high standards in the bug reporting database, ensuring that issues are accurately tracked and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Compile documentation to verify the state of new content/features, providing valuable insights to the development team.
  • Escalate risks/serious issues promptly to relevant parties, ensuring that potential problems are addressed before they impact the game.
  • Lead by example in performance and knowledge for QA Analysts, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and a passion for quality.
  • Collaborate with other departments, supporting various requests and ensuring that our games meet the needs of our players.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrable professional experience in game industry Quality Assurance, with a strong understanding of game testing methodologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of game testing tools and technologies, including Jira and UE.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications and experience with source control systems.
  • Strong knowledge of game development principles and a passion for creating high-quality experiences.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with multiple disciplines.
  • Proactive mindset and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of professional QA experience in a software or game-testing environment.
  • Prior experience in QA for game development, with a strong understanding of testing methodologies.
  • Experience with JIRA and Testrail, with a strong understanding of bug tracking and reporting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with multiple disciplines.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to think analytically, work systematically, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong autonomous attitude and ability to work within a team, with a commitment to excellence and a passion for quality.
  • Fluent in English, with a strong understanding of game development principles and a passion for creating high-quality experiences.
