Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Branch Manager Air Conditioning / HVAC to lead our sales and distribution efforts in the construction industry.

This role involves managing a team of 7 Drivers, Warehousing & Internal Sales Staff and developing strong relationships with air conditioning contractors, M&E contractors & sub-contractors.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Managing all aspects of the branch including distribution, customer service, HR, administration, sales and health & safety;
  • Setting and working towards budget expectations for each year;
  • Maintaining existing customer relationships and cultivating new ones to increase sales;
  • Liaising internally with credit control teams to manage customer accounts & payments;
  • Ensuring excellent customer service is provided;
  • Providing training, development, and motivation to depot personnel.

Requirements:

  • Must have experience running a busy distribution branch within the construction industry;
  • Proven track record of managing and developing a team;
  • Ideal candidate will have experience with HVAC products or in an electrical/plumbing wholesaler;
  • A solid understanding of H&S regulations;
  • Strong commercial acumen or sales background beneficial;
  • Exceptional organisational skills;
  • Good communication skills, both written and in person;
  • IT Literate (ERP systems, Microsoft Office).

Salary: £42,000 - £52,000 per annum + discretionary bonus £6,000-£8,000
