About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Operational Continuity Expert to join our team at Barclays Simpson. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of our operational continuity strategy across multiple jurisdictions.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in shaping operational continuity strategies and managing risk across multinational operations. You will work closely with senior management to define and execute strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement an operational continuity framework that ensures consistency across all business units globally.
  • Collaborate with leadership to refine the group's operational continuity strategy, ensuring agility and adaptability to evolving threats and opportunities.
  • Lead operational continuity-related second-line risk assessments and collaborate with regulators to demonstrate the organization's commitment to operational continuity and risk management.
  • Develop key operational continuity metrics and provide comprehensive reports to senior management and regulatory bodies on the organization's operational continuity performance.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in operational continuity, information security, IT audit, or architecture, with a proven track record in shaping operational continuity strategy.
  • Strong knowledge of UK, EU, and international operational continuity regulations, including NIS2, DORA, FCA, and PRA.
  • Experience implementing industry standards such as ISO 27001 (information security) and ISO 22301 (business continuity).
  • Proven ability to collaborate with senior management to define and execute strategic operational continuity initiatives.

Salary: £85,000 - £105,000 per annum, depending on experience.
