Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Operator to join our team at H.B. Fuller. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for performing entry-level production tasks, ensuring the quality and safety of our products, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare raw materials and packaging for production, ensuring accurate quantities and timely delivery to the production area.
  • Operate processing equipment in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
  • Monitor equipment performance, maintaining optimal run rates and identifying any deviations from normal operations.
  • Conduct initial testing and release of products to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Verify labels and packaging materials, ensuring accurate labeling and adherence to company standards.
  • Pack final products in accordance with instructions and quality standards.
  • Perform housekeeping duties in assigned areas, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Assist with other duties as requested by the Production Manager or Supervisor.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • No prior experience necessary, but basic knowledge of common software programs (MS Office) is preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand work orders, production processes, safety regulations, and quality procedures.
  • Availability to work in shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year of experience in an industrial environment.
  • Basic understanding of English language.

Physical Environment:

  • Ability to stand for long periods, walk, and climb stairs.
  • Use hands to remove or lift boxes.
  • Stretch and reach with arms extended.
  • Stoop and bend.
  • Regularly lift up to 50 pounds and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Work in a chemical environment with normal temperature, dust, smell, and noise conditions.
