Production Operator

H.B. Fuller is seeking a skilled Production Operator II to join our team in Preston, UK. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating equipment and processes to ensure high-quality products are produced in compliance with legal and company regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare raw materials and packaging for production, ensuring accurate quantities and timely delivery.
- Operate processing equipment according to process instructions and procedures, monitoring performance and making adjustments as needed.
- Conduct initial testing and release of products to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Verify labels and packaging materials, ensuring correct labeling and adherence to quality standards.
- Packaging final products in accordance with instructions and H.B. Fuller quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to expected Quality Standards and Operating procedures.
- Perform other duties as requested by the Production Manager/Supervisor.
- Basic educational degree or High school diploma or general education diploma.
- No prior experience required, but knowledge of common software programs (MS office) is beneficial.
- Ability to read and understand work orders, production process, safety regulations, and quality procedures and instructions.
- Availability to work in shifts.
- 1 year experience in an industrial environment.
- Understanding of basic English.
- Required to stand for long periods of time.
- Walk and climb stairs.
- Use hands to remove or lift boxes.
- Stretch and reach with arms extended.
- Stoop and bend.
- Regularly lift up to 50 pounds and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Temperature, dust, smell, and noise are under normal chemical environment conditions.
