Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Flight Data Analyst to join our team. As a Flight Data Analyst, you will be responsible for providing expert analysis and insights to our customers, helping them to improve the safety and efficiency of their flight operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide regular analysis of downloaded flight data and daily validation of safety and maintenance events
- Investigate abnormal operations and report findings to customers
- Provide guidance and support to ensure the most appropriate safety events and thresholds are in place
- Manage ad hoc requests for data analysis and compile statistical reports
- Support other teams within the business on flight safety matters
- Identify bugs or inefficiencies in the system and liaise with the Software Development team to find appropriate fixes
- Perform acceptance testing for new website features, bug fixes, and FDM events
- Provide occasional out-of-hours emergency support (AOG - Aircraft on Ground service)
- Support the Data Specialist team in performing FDR, CVR, and DLR readouts using the Express Readout tool
- Provide website demonstrations and advice to customers and visitors
Requirements:
- Flying experience is desirable
- Knowledge of aircraft systems and flight operations
- Experience of data handling, analysis, and statistics
- A passion for safety and a good understanding of safety management principles
- Effective communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Working at pace
