Key Responsibilities
">- Advise on options and solutions to highway engineering matters, prepare works information, and project manage implementation
- Prepare concept design work packages for bid funding applications quickly and effectively, identifying costs from outline design to project completion
- Manage review of external technical submissions, liaise with designers, and resolve issues
- Lead financial management of schemes from inception to completion
- Lead, manage, and direct a team to meet objectives
- Resolve councillor and third-party issues, provide input to media enquiries
- Line manage staff and contractors, lead/design sign-off
- IEng or CEng Qualification, eligibility to work in the UK, full UK driving licence

">Joining Waterman Aspen offers benefits including a salary of £75,000 - £100,000 per annum, depending on experience, a varied client base, further exposure to the industry, and opportunities to influence and make decisions within clients.
As a Principal Highways Engineer, you will have significant experience in highway design and construction (10+ years) and possess IEng or CEng qualification, eligibility to work in the UK, and a full UK driving licence.
The ideal candidate will be able to advise on options and solutions to highway engineering matters, prepare works information, and project manage implementation, as well as manage the review of external technical submissions and proposals.
The estimated salary range reflects the expected compensation based on the title, job description, and location.
