About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechatronics Engineer to join our team at Ocado Logistics. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and testing electronic equipment and real-time software components of novel mechatronic devices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical and electronic sub-systems, including PCBs, cabling, motor controllers, and sensor acquisition systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement system architecture.
  • Develop and implement real-time and embedded software according to system requirements.
  • Liaise with workshop technicians and manage 3rd party fabricators.
  • Evaluate the performance of prototype devices and work collaboratively with other team members.
Requirements
  • Expertise in PCB design, testing, and manufacturing techniques.
  • Experience with real-time systems profiling and debugging.
  • High proficiency in programming languages such as Python and C/C++.
  • Experience with embedded devices, device drivers, and real-time scheduling and resource allocation.
  • Knowledge of communications protocols and sensor technologies.
