Role Overview

The Clinical Research Fellow position at Barts Cancer Institute, Queen Mary University of London is an exciting opportunity for a medical professional to contribute to innovative cancer research projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for undertaking cutting-edge research initiatives aimed at improving decision-making in cancer care across North East London.

This role suits individuals between Core and Specialist training, but we also consider more experienced candidates. The post-holder will gain hands-on experience in conducting clinical research, presenting results at national and international conferences, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, and applying for funding leading to a higher degree.

About You

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a medical degree from a recognized institution, GMC registration, and a minimum of 2 years of core surgical training, radiology training, or histopathology training, or equivalent. Ideally, the candidate should have at least 6 months of experience in urology at the core trainee or specialty trainee level. Experience in project management, conducting outpatient clinics, data collection, and statistical analysis would be advantageous. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential for success in this role.

Barts Cancer Institute is part of the Cancer Research UK City of London Centre, focusing on transforming lives through innovative research. The project will be implemented across all secondary care providers within the North East London Integrated Care System. The role requires actively engaging with key primary and secondary care stakeholders, community and faith groups, charities, Cancer Alliance members, and research teams.

About the Salary and Benefits
