Job Description
The Senior Policy Advisor (Research) role at the British Medical Association involves providing expert policy advice and guidance to various audiences, including senior staff, committees, chief officers, and members. This fixed-term contract is for 3 months, and the successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing the BMA's engagement with the UK Covid-19 Inquiry.

Responsibilities
  • Project manage the BMA's engagement with the Inquiry, working closely with colleagues to analyze key evidence and meet Inquiry deadlines.
  • Collaborate with teams across the BMA, including policy, public affairs, communications, and legal departments, as well as external stakeholders and elected members.

Requirements
To be successful as a Senior Policy Advisor, you'll need:
  • Previous experience in policy development and implementation, particularly in health or health-related areas.
  • Ability to understand complex data and research, and support others in the team to do so.
  • Excellent written skills, with experience in drafting and presenting policy reports and briefings.

Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary for this role is £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to the competitive salary, the BMA offers a range of benefits, including:
