About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Deputy Head of Legal to join our team at LSTM. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a critical role in shaping the future and direction of our legal function.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality legal advice and support to all functions of LSTM, including overseas subsidiaries and projects.
- Manage a team of four research associates, providing guidance and oversight to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
- Provide specialist legal support in areas such as HR/employment, construction, real estate, company law, charity law, GDPR/data protection, IP, and IT.
- Draft and negotiate commercial contracts, including experience in contract law and related issues.
Requirements
- Qualified solicitor with substantive core experience in commercial contract law-related matters.
- Experience of working in a professional contract and/or general legal role, with a strong understanding of relevant legislation and practices.
- Proven ability to manage large and complex matters, with excellent writing and communication skills.
- Experience of managing a team and providing guidance and oversight to ensure successful project delivery.
