Job Description

We are looking for a Defence Programme Finance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of defence programmes.

Responsibilities
  • Support programme managers in developing and implementing financial plans, including budgeting and forecasting.
  • Manage the financial aspects of programme delivery, including expense control and cash flow management.
  • Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to support business decision-making.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective financial governance and compliance.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience working in a Defence project/programme environment.
  • Experience of managing project and programme finance, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with programme managers and other stakeholders.
Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a salary of £44,590, plus an employer contribution of 28% towards their Civil Service pension. They will also benefit from flexible working options, a culture encouraging inclusion and diversity, and access to professional development opportunities.
