Cranswick Country Foods PLC is seeking a skilled Yard Operative to join our team in Norfolk. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our livestock yard, ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regularly inspect and maintain the yard, ensuring all areas are clean and free from debris.
- Segregate and store waste materials correctly, adhering to company protocols.
- Label, cover, and dispose of animal by-products in accordance with regulations.
- Collect and dispose of waste packaging, removing dirty trays and dolavs from the internal vehicle trailer.
- Monitor and maintain the flow of waste from the factory exit.
- Assist with the collection, storage, and dispatch of customer bulk orders.
- Perform daily environmental checks and provide assistance with maintenance tasks as required.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role or with tractor driving, garden machinery, and forklift operation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including overtime during the week and weekends.
Benefits:
- Competitive hourly rate of £14.54 (inclusive of attendance bonus).
- Weekly attendance bonus of £1 per hour.
