Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Plumbing Specialist to join our team at the Commonwealth of Virginia. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repair work on light commercial and residential plumbing systems and their associated equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances
  • Perform routine maintenance on campus irrigation systems, swimming pools, and Jacuzzi
  • Troubleshoot and repair plumbing-related issues
  • Work with construction blueprints and specifications to ensure accurate installations
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations

Requirements:

  • Considerable knowledge of plumbing repair and maintenance at a journeymen level
  • Working knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions
  • Ability to perform general math calculations
  • Some knowledge of swimming pool operation and maintenance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with backflow prevention devices
  • Knowledge of construction blueprints and specifications
