About the Role

The Stockport Homes Group is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Environmental Services Team as a Greenspace Assistant. This exciting opportunity will support the delivery of greenspace services across the borough, ensuring the maintenance, management, and improvements of high-quality greenspaces across neighbourhoods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the management and delivery of greenspace services, including working with customers and stakeholders to identify, design, and deliver greenspace improvements.
  • Conduct site meetings, surveys, and work with customers, including residents, schools, contractors, and community groups.
  • Monitor and support service and contract delivery, including using and updating IT and financial systems.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with customers, contractors, and key stakeholders.
  • Support the management of services and contracts, including prioritizing workloads and taking responsibility for own actions.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and alone.
  • Full driving licence and access to vehicle.
  • Basic clearance by the Disclosure and Barring Service.
