Culinary Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at Leonard Cheshire. As a key member of our residential care home, you will be responsible for delivering a varied and nutritious menu that meets the specific dietary requirements of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook healthy meals for our residents, ensuring exceptional levels of hygiene and cleanliness.
• Supervise staff in the kitchen, promoting a positive and efficient working environment.
• Work within an agreed budget to manage kitchen resources and ensure cost-effectiveness.
• Develop and implement menus that cater to the diverse needs of our residents, including those with specific dietary requirements.
• Collaborate with our care team to ensure that our residents receive the best possible care and support.

Requirements:

• Experience working in a kitchen environment, preferably in a residential care setting.
• A recognised catering qualification, such as a Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate and HACCP accreditation.
• Flexibility to work within rostered hours, including weekends and evenings.
