Job Title: Cook
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Cook to join our team at Leonard Cheshire. As a Cook, you will be responsible for delivering a varied menu that is healthy and nutritionally balanced, meeting specific dietary requirements for customers in our residential care home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals for residents, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.
- Supervise kitchen staff and ensure efficient running of the kitchen.
- Maintain exceptional levels of hygiene and cleanliness, meeting Health, Safety and regulatory requirements.
- Work within an agreed budget to deliver a cost-effective service.
- Provide catering for functions and special events, showcasing your creativity and skills.
Requirements:
- Experience working in a kitchen environment.
- A recognised catering qualification (Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate and additional HACCP accreditation, or Level 4 Food Hygiene Certificate / commitment to work towards).
- Flexibility to work within rostered hours.
