The Personal Growth Specialist will play a vital role in helping individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism achieve their aims in all subjects and progress to improved opportunities. As part of the HF Mencap team, you will help develop and deliver programmes that support young people and adults in learning, achieving, and progressing toward greater opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Teach, plan, and monitor programmes that meet the needs of learners with varying abilities.
- Deliver engaging and interactive sessions that promote learning and development.
- Develop and maintain relationships with learners, families, and carers to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified to CET, AET and DE (preferred) (or working towards a teaching qualification) or other relevant qualification in your specialised subject.
- SEN or health and social care qualifications (essential)
- GCSE (or equivalent L2 Functional skills) in English and maths at grade C/4 or above (Essential)
- Skills and Abilities:
- Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism (essential)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (essential)
A competitive salary of £25-40 per hour (including planning time), depending on your qualifications and experience. You will also have the opportunity to work with a dedicated team who share your passion for empowering individuals with learning disabilities and autism.
