About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Adult Advanced Practitioner to join our team at West Suffolk Foundation Trust, working within the Emergency Department under the Medical Division.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a busy, friendly, rural NHS Trust, providing high-quality care and compassion to our community.

As an Adult Advanced Practitioner, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide excellent patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality patient care, working closely with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures to improve patient care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provide education and training to staff on clinical governance and risk assessment/management.
  • Participate in clinical supervision and mentorship of staff.
Person Specification
  • Professional Registration with either NMC, GPhC, or HCPC.
  • Possession of a 1st degree in a clinical field, e.g., Nursing, physiotherapy, at a minimum 2:2 classification.
  • Non-Medical Prescribing (v300) if appropriate to registered profession/role.
  • Significant post-qualification experience (minimum 4 years) in a relevant clinical field.
  • Evidence of continued professional development following MSc completion.
  • Evidence of recent teaching, mentorship, and supervision of staff.
  • Evidence of quality improvement methodology and audit experience.
  • Understanding of clinical governance and risk assessment/management.
  • Computer skills (i.e., for radiology, pathology, microbiology ordering).
