About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, supporting our surgeons and anaesthetists in the delivery of high-quality patient care. As a Theatre Practitioner - Scrub Nurse, you will be responsible for preparing patients for surgery, maintaining a safe and clean operating environment, and assisting with surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in the preparation and maintenance of the operating theatre environment, ensuring a safe and clean space for patients and staff.
- Assist with the positioning and preparation of patients for surgical procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure the smooth delivery of surgical services, including the preparation and handling of surgical instruments and equipment.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of patient care and safety.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) or equivalent.
- Experience working in a theatre or perioperative environment, with a strong understanding of surgical procedures and protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and a passion for working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including:
- A salary of £34,130 to £43,730 per annum, dependent on experience.
