About the RoleThis Senior Care Practitioner Nights position plays a vital role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of our residents throughout the night. As part of our dedicated team, you will be responsible for conducting regular nighttime checks, administering medications, and providing personal care and assistance as needed.
The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills, with experience in supervising night staff and maintaining accurate records. A positive, compassionate approach to working night shifts is essential, along with a commitment to delivering person-centred care that respects and honours individual needs and preferences.
Key Responsibilities- Conducting Regular Nighttime Checks: Monitoring residents throughout the night to ensure their safety, comfort, and well-being, addressing any needs promptly and professionally.
- Personal Care and Assistance: Assisting residents with personal care needs during nighttime hours, including helping with mobility, repositioning, and ensuring restful sleep environments.
- Medication Administration: Safely administering nighttime medications as required, following care plans and keeping accurate records.
- Monitoring Health and Responding to Emergencies: Observing residents for any signs of distress or changes in health, responding quickly to emergencies, and notifying on-call medical staff if necessary.
