The Role

">

As a Quality Manager, you will report directly to the Site Quality Manager, supporting and deputizing for this key position. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the quality assurance team, ensuring all products meet stringent specifications, legislation, and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement an internal audit schedule, conduct thorough audits, and ensure timely completion.
  • Maintain accurate records of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and ensure team compliance at all times.
  • Collaborate with QA Auditors to investigate complaints and supplier issues, determine non-conformances, and close them effectively.
  • Perform product checks and testing to guarantee product safety and quality.
  • Manage micro sampling, product swabbing, and environmental monitoring plans to maintain optimal product quality.
  • Conduct shelf-life testing to ensure products meet quality standards.
  • Supervise the QA team, providing coaching and development opportunities to foster a culture of food safety and quality.
  • Deliver compliance training to ensure the team adheres to regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure product quality, legality, and safety; manage the QA budget; and achieve KPIs.
  • Enforce company culture, rules, and processes across the team at all times.

Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in Quality Management or a supervisory role within the food industry.
  • A relevant degree or equivalent working experience.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal English).
  • Experience facilitating internal auditing processes.
  • Detailed knowledge of HACCP, Food Safety, GMP, and Quality Management Systems.
