This role involves managing and developing staff assigned to various pension projects. The primary goal is to ensure successful project delivery, avoiding penalties and meeting quality standards.

Key responsibilities include delivering new client implementations on time, to budget, and to quality standards. Furthermore, the role requires supporting and developing the team to enable client service excellence and creating innovative solutions.

The successful candidate will own and promote best practices within the team, oversee process improvements, and deliver what is promised. This involves reviewing and agreeing project plans to identify and mitigate risks and issues.

The candidate will also support Programme/Project Managers in steering projects to successful closure and influence the approach for all project deliverables. Additionally, they will ensure all projects are resourced appropriately and escalate where this is at risk.

Required skills and experience include strong technical pensions knowledge in DB schemes, the ability to explain complex matters, and an operations background with management and/or leadership skills.

The ideal candidate will have experience of client interaction and dealing with internal and external stakeholders, be able to analyse requirements to ensure output is fit for purpose, and be up to date with legislation and other policy changes that affect pensions.

For a TM role in the Scheme Benefit team, experience with pensions technical, drafting proforma, and specifying complex calculations and operational processes for all pension event types/Scheme types is also required.
