Role Overview
Polygon House Ltd is undergoing an exciting transformation with the regeneration of The Rose and Crown in Clapham old town, a brand relaunch scheduled for early Spring, and the new opening of The Ox on Clapham high street. We are seeking a dedicated culinary professional to join our esteemed team led by a Head Chef with over 20 years of experience and the General Manager with over 10 years of experience at 3-Michelin starred restaurants and 5* hotels in London.
We aim to drive the team and be ambitious in our approach to hospitality, offering opportunities for growth and development. Below are some essential details about the role.

Working Arrangements
5 days a week, with 7 shifts (3 single shifts, 2 doubles) and Christmas Day off
28 days of annual leave
A competitive salary of £28,000-38,000 per annum
On-the-job training provided daily
Staff meals provided regularly

Service Delivery Responsibilities
To supervise and participate in the preparation and cooking of produce according to restaurant standards
Ensure full understanding of functional administration, including docket procedures, stations, table numbers, food labelling etc.
Maintain a detailed knowledge of the menu and provide detailed descriptions of all dishes
Compliance with restaurant standards and menu specifications
Maintain stock rotation and ensure efficient use of resources
All tasks carried out in an efficient and timely manner to ensure smooth service operation
To maintain the section in a clean and tidy manner, adhering to hygiene and cleanliness policy
To ensure equipment is well maintained and handled, reporting any maintenance issues to relevant parties
Fully understand how the role contributes to the success of the restaurant
Build effective and constructive relationships with colleagues
Work collaboratively with others towards shared goals

Health and Safety Responsibilities
Fully conversant with statutory requirements on Health and Safety and all aspects of the hotel's Health and Safety Policy: COSHH, Food Hygiene level 2, and Manual Handling
