Interim Senior Legal Counsel (12 month FTC)

At Jupiter Asset Mgmt, we are seeking a highly skilled Legal Counsel to join our team on a fixed-term contract basis. The successful candidate will provide general advice on legal issues across the business, including Jupiter's funds, general contractual undertakings, and legal/regulatory matters.

Jupiter Asset Mgmt is one of the UK's leading investment management companies, with over 500 employees and £51.3 billion worth of assets under management. We provide investment services to individual and institutional investors through mutual funds, separately managed accounts, and sub-advised funds.

The successful candidate will work closely with other members of the team, including Product Structuring, Compliance, Operations, and other departments, on matters relating to general legal/regulatory matters, reviewing contracts, and providing legal advice to best satisfy business requirements.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing general advice on legal issues across the business
  • Reviewing contracts related to Jupiter's wider business
  • Advising on and assisting the business to comply with regulatory requirements
  • Providing legal support on ad hoc projects as required
  • Assisting the other members of the Legal Department in maintaining and growing its know-how and precedent base

The ideal candidate will be a qualified Solicitor with 5+ years PQE, financial services experience, and strong computer and technical skills. They will also possess a flexible, positive, and approachable attitude, with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
