Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join our team at HSDC. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support to learners with severe and complex additional learning needs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide in-class or small group support to learners with additional learning needs, under the guidance of the class teacher.
- Plan, implement, and measure the impact of support work to evaluate its effectiveness and drive continual improvement.
- Contribute to the College's learner assessment process, assisting curriculum tutors to gather support data and maintain accurate records.
- Provide reading, amanuensis, practical assistance, and invigilation for internal and external exams.
- Maths and English to at least level 2.
- Experience of education to at least level 3.
- Learning Support or similar qualification.
- Understanding of factors that create barriers to learning and strategies to overcome them.
- Knowledge and/or experience of severe and complex disabilities and learning difficulties and strategies to support these.
