Job SummaryWe're seeking a skilled Technician to join our team. As a Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our quarrying and surfacing products by conducting onsite and offsite materials testing and updating electronic records.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct daily organoleptic checks for lab, production facilities, and all stockpiles
- Maintain a safe and tidy workspace and ensure the efficient running of the laboratory
- Record sample details on test record sheets and laboratory software
- Calibrate all testing equipment
- Prepare for inspections from independent accrediting bodies
- Undertake daily laboratory equipment checks
- Investigate all material-related complaints and provide suitable and sufficient feedback and evidence to support
- Previous experience in sampling and testing of construction materials or transferable skills from other employment types
- Awareness to work safely on a construction site or production depot
- Willingness to be flexible in your working pattern
- Physical ability to carry out sampling and handling of bulky materials
- Capacity to operate mechanical equipment such as an asphalt road coring drill
- Full driving license and ability to operate a small-sized commercial van
- Ability to work on your own initiative
