About the Role:

We are seeking a Trainee Flood Modeller to join our dynamic team at McCloy Consulting Limited. As a Trainee Flood Modeller, you will gain valuable experience in a range of projects, including flood risk assessments, surface water and urban drainage design, and catchment management.

You will work closely with our team of experienced engineers, hydrologists, and environmental scientists, learning how to develop flood models and contribute to the delivery of sustainable water management solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development of hydraulic and hydrological models for flood risk assessments.
  • Support the design and delivery of surface water and drainage projects.
  • Learn to interpret data and provide technical solutions for flood management.
  • Collaborate with team members and clients to ensure the successful completion of projects.
Requirements:
  • An apprenticeship or degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related scientific field.
  • Interest in spatial analysis techniques and an interest in GIS.
  • Interest in learning hydraulic and hydrological modelling software.
  • Willingness to attend the Belfast office regularly.
