Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Manager to join our team at the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office. As a key member of our Estate Operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective management of our UK estate, including the Hanslope Park site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Optimise the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery and day-to-day operations of the Hanslope Park site.
  • Apply governance to FM service delivery, leading on hard services and line-managing responsibilities for soft services.
  • Ensure the site meets all FCDO policies and procedures, with an emphasis on critical facilities and infrastructure compliance.
  • Act as the operational FM Subject Matter Expert for Hanslope Park, working with EO colleagues to ensure the FCDO UK Estate maintains the correct operational and security posture.
  • Manage and build on the customer/service provider relationship, ensuring continuous performance improvement.
Requirements
  • Working towards, or prepared to work towards, a relevant Institute of Workplace & Facilities Management qualification.
  • Understanding of budgetary allocation, spend, and financial reporting, including revenue vs capital spend.
  • Understanding of statutory compliance requirements in relation to Facilities Management and UK legislation.
  • Detailed working knowledge of operating an estate to maintain and work in a secure environment.
  • Experienced in the principles of Project and Contract Management for service delivery.
  • A strong understanding of UK Health and Safety regulatory requirements as applicable to the built environment and an operational estate.
