Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at The Astrea Academy Trust. As a key member of our academic support team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the success of our students.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing academic support to students in the classroom, working closely with teachers and other support staff to deliver high-quality education. You will be expected to work collaboratively as part of a team, using your excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide academic support to students in the classroom, including one-to-one and small group work
  • Work closely with teachers to deliver high-quality education and support the development of students' skills and knowledge
  • Assist with the planning and preparation of lessons, including the creation of resources and materials
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting the well-being and safety of all students
  • Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents to ensure that students receive the support they need to succeed

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parentsHighly developed organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilitiesStrong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver high-quality education to studentsExperience of working with students with a range of needs and abilitiesAbility to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work
