About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Oncologist to join our team at Ipswich Hospital, part of the East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for patients with Upper Gastrointestinal Cancer, Cancer of the Unknown Primary, and will contribute to the Acute Oncology Service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize and supervise the teaching of junior medical staff and students in the department.
  • Support and foster research, audit, and teaching in conjunction with consultant colleagues.
  • Contribute to the development of effective clinical care and share administrative duties associated with the running of an effective department.
Person Specification
  • FRCR or European equivalent if Clinical Oncologist.
  • MRCP or equivalent if Medical Oncologist.
  • Registration in the Specialist Register for Oncology.
  • Full GMC registration.
