The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Merchandiser to join our PrettyLittleThing team. As a key member of our buying team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of our clothing department, ensuring all products meet our high standards for our customers. You will work closely with our senior buying team and inspirational Buying Director to develop and implement buying strategies that drive sales and growth.

As a Senior Merchandiser, you will be part of a dynamic team that is passionate, agile, and creative.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement buying strategies that drive sales and growth
  • Work closely with the senior buying team and Buying Director to ensure all products meet our high standards
  • Manage open-to-buy and undertake European and Far East trips to source new products
  • Collaborate with the design and merchandising teams to develop and implement product ranges
  • Monitor stock levels and ensure effective communication with junior, assistant, and trainee buyers
  • Report key information to Heads and Director level in trading meetings
  • Generate ideas and suggestions to impact the business through promotions and markdowns
  • Monitor and maintain stocks as per KPIs set and manage open-to-buy accordingly
  • Respond to competitor analysis and complete buying trips as needed
  • Liaise with marketing and eCommerce teams to develop and maintain professional working relationships

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience as a Buyer or Junior Buyer
  • Experience working across multiple deadlines and ability to manage your workload effectively
  • Outstanding industry knowledge and ability to identify trends and commercial wins for the brand
  • Ability to support and develop your wider team and ensure you are approachable to the wider teams
  • Commitment and focus on your role, bringing your best energy every day
  • Experience of developing and mentoring junior team members
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels
  • Able to travel when the business requires
