Job Title: Data Architect Lead

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Architect Lead to join our team at easyJet. As a Data Architect Lead, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership to our data engineering team, ensuring the design and development of reliable data pipelines and products across various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide technical expertise and guidance to development teams on solution design and coding, ensuring consistency in standards and quality practices.
- Lead the Data Engineering board in building and refining patterns and standards for the data engineering teams.
- Develop robust data pipelines to serve the easyJet analyst and data science community.
- Set and govern non-functional requirements for solutions, ensuring that delivery teams meet set standards around performance, security, code maintainability, and supportability.
- Maintain and enhance documentation around current state Data Architecture.
- Recommend and lead improvements to existing software, tools, and processes.

About You:

- You have extensive experience in big data platforms, including cloud-based technologies such as HDFS, Blob Storage, Spark, Kafka, Delta, Hive, Airflow, and DBT.
- You have a strong understanding of data modeling, including conceptual to logical models, and taking long-term ownership of data models and analytical products.
- You have excellent knowledge of software best practices, including design principles, security, and performance.
- You are methodical, logical, and flexible in your approach, with significant experience as a Technical Architect.
