Transformative Data Leadership Opportunity

At easyJet, we're seeking a highly skilled Data Technical Architect to join our team and drive innovation in our big data platform. With a strong background in cloud-based big data technologies and extensive data modeling experience, you'll play a key role in shaping our data architecture and ensuring the delivery of high-quality data solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical leadership to a data engineering team and ensure adherence to big data best practices.
  • Design and develop logical and physical data models and databases for business solutions.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to development teams on solution/system design and coding.
  • Lead the Data Engineering board and develop robust data pipelines to serve the easyJet analyst and data science community.
  • Maintain and enhance documentation around current state Data Architecture.

Requirements:
  • Strong technical expertise in cloud-based big data technologies, including HDFS, Blob Storage, Spark, Kafka, Delta, Hive, Airflow, and DBT.
  • Extensive data modeling experience from conceptual to logical models.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of data and analytical technical domain.
  • Good understanding of software best practices, including design principles & patterns, security, and performance.
