Job Title: Associate Haematology Specialist Nurse

This is an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Specialist/Non-Medical Prescriber to join the Great Yarmouth and Waveney Early Intervention in Psychosis Team on a 12-month fixed-term contract/secondment.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Providing clinical leadership to the clinical team in the care, treatment, and therapy of the service user, with a clear focus on clinical risk and its management.
  • Providing expertise, support, and advice to clinical practitioners regarding all aspects of clinical care, including implementing best practice based on evidence-based practice and National Guidance.
  • Providing information, education, and support for service users and their carers regarding coping with diagnosis and treatment, the interpretation of national guidelines, and relevant research to inform local practice and procedures to achieve best practice.
Requirements:
  • Non-Medical Independent Prescriber qualification.
  • Nursing Degree or equivalent.
  • Experience of supervision and mentorship of others.
  • Extensive experience of practice within the clinical area with a proven track record in delivering high-quality care.
  • Able to demonstrate sound clinical expertise and knowledge of mental health conditions and their treatments.
  • Good understanding of first episode psychosis.
