About the Role:

The Senior Principal Biostatistician is a key member of the Biostatistics team at Novartis Farmacéutica, responsible for providing expert statistical support to clinical development projects. This role requires a strong background in biostatistics, with expertise in statistical analysis, data interpretation, and regulatory submissions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Statistical Analysis and Reporting: Design, implement, and interpret statistical analyses for clinical trials, including data visualization and reporting.
  2. Protocol Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop statistical analysis plans, study protocols, and clinical trial reports.
  3. Regulatory Submissions: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for statistical submissions, including CDISC and ICH guidelines.
  4. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor junior biostatisticians, providing guidance on statistical methodologies and best practices.
  5. Communication and Collaboration: Effectively communicate statistical results and methodologies to non-technical stakeholders, including clinical trial teams, regulatory agencies, and senior management.

Requirements:

  1. Education: Master's degree in Statistics or a related field, with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or a PhD in Statistics or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  2. Skills: Strong knowledge of statistical software packages (e.g., SAS, R), excellent communication and presentation skills, and proficiency in project management and matrix leadership.
