About the Role

Pearson is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as BTEC Standards Verifiers (RQF). As a Standards Verifier, you will play a crucial role in upholding national standards for a variety of BTEC qualifications. Your expertise and commitment to quality assurance will ensure that learners receive a high-quality education.

Your Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough sampling of learner work and internal verification decisions within your designated subject area to guarantee alignment with national standards.
  • Provide comprehensive support and guidance to centers regarding sampling procedures and best practices.
  • Prepare detailed reports for both centers and Pearson, outlining findings and recommendations.
  • Implement appropriate sanctions when necessary to maintain the integrity of assessment processes.
  • Collaborate with centers to foster a culture of continuous improvement and adherence to national standards.
  • Effectively communicate updates and insights to both Pearson and centers, ensuring transparency and collaboration.
  • Contribute to the development of standardization materials as required.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to undertake any assigned tasks by Pearson.

Your Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience in delivering and assessing vocational qualifications, demonstrating a deep understanding of the subject matter.
  • A strong commitment to quality assurance and maintaining high standards in education.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant subject area specifications and assessment criteria.
  • Minimum of one year's teaching experience within the last eight years in the specific subject area.

Training and Development

Successful candidates will undergo comprehensive training, including online standardization exercises and face-to-face sessions, to ensure they possess the necessary knowledge and skills for this role.
