About the RoleWe are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist who is passionate about delivering excellent patient care and leading a team of healthcare professionals. As a Medical Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the medical services at Cygnet Hospital Kewstoke, ensuring that our patients receive the best possible care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care and lead our multidisciplinary team
- Oversee the medical services at Cygnet Hospital Kewstoke
- Develop and implement treatment plans in conjunction with the MDT
- Assess referrals and undertake mental state examinations of service users
- Undertake appropriate investigations, diagnosis, and treatment
- Participate in ward rounds and clinical audits
- Lead the implementation of risk assessment, risk management, and embed clinical governance
- Supervise reports for Mental Health Act tribunals and managers' hearings and attend hearings
- Participate in the 1 in 8 telephone on-call rota
