About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance and Compliance Specialist to join our team in Plymouth. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in quality assurance and compliance, with a strong understanding of civil engineering activities and how they can be controlled.

Key Responsibilities
  • To support the Senior Leadership Team in planning, delivery, monitoring, and commissioning of programmes.
  • To ensure that all project areas comply with DRDL, CDM 2015, and ONR policies for health, safety, security, environment, quality, procurement, logistic & traffic management, and personnel.
  • To assist in the oversight of Verification and Quality Assurance Teams in monitoring and assurance of project processes and procedures.
  • To control all aspects of the Nuclear Hold Point process for projects, working with relevant Plant Managers and Major Infrastructure Delivery and Integration Director to lift restrictions appropriately and meet project schedule objectives.
  • To conduct relevant audits to ensure project compliance.
  • To create and deliver Project Integrated Assurance and Approvals Plan (PIAAP) ensuring content is current, relevant, and effective.
Requirements
  • A qualification in civil engineering - HND, HNC or bachelor's degree.
  • Professional memberships in Institution of Civil Engineers at appropriate level.
  • First aid training.
  • Experience in nuclear and defence.
  • Demonstrate a knowledge of civil engineering activities and how these can be controlled.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills with ability to adapt communication style to meet needs of different audiences.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with team.
  • Ability to manage time effectively to meet key deadlines.
What We Offer
