Job Summary

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Financial Manager to lead our team of invoicing and credit control staff within the Commercial Directorate. The successful candidate will have knowledge of the private patient and overseas field and will be responsible for providing financial management leadership to the private patient, overseas, international and injury cost recovery services financial teams.

Main Duties of the Job

The post holder will be responsible for managing and monitoring the finance and business performance and staff within the private patient, overseas, international and injury cost recovery services. This will include overseeing the detailed analysis and interpretation of all activities to continue the development and improvement of the services as part of the expansion and development of the private patient business.

Key Responsibilities

The post holder will be responsible for leading projects and change initiatives across this broad range of complex activities to achieve challenging targets within agreed timescales. This will include preparing statutory reports and returns in accordance with agreed timescales and acting as a lead specialist finance reporting, business intelligence, invoicing and income recovery including debt recovery.

Person Specification

The successful candidate will need significant leadership experience related to a financial industry, excellent attention to detail and performance management with previous experience of line management, and a proven track record of financial process improvement and project management. Applicants will also need to have experience of successful stakeholder management and knowledge of Compucare.
