Adult Safeguarding Specialist

As a safeguarding specialist, you will play a vital role in protecting vulnerable adults from abuse and neglect. Working under the leadership of safeguarding principal practitioners, you will be responsible for statutory safeguarding duties set out in the Care Act 2014.
The role involves leading and coordinating enquiries relating to adults who are experiencing or at risk of abuse or neglect, using a strength-based approach.
You will assess and manage risk, ensuring plans are in place to promote wellbeing, safeguard, and support the outcomes of people experiencing abuse or neglect.
A competitive salary of £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience, is offered for this challenging yet rewarding role.
Making Safeguarding Personal and Safeguarding Principles are key aspects of this position, empowering adults within a risk enablement and strengths-based approach.
- Experience in adult safeguarding, including S42 inquiries and the Care Act (2014), is essential.
- Confident decision-making while working within risk enablement is required.
