Job Description:

We are working with a 3-form entry Primary school with a GOOD Ofsted rating, seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a KS1 child with ASD. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with special educational needs and be able to provide a supportive and nurturing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Work 1:1 with a KS1 child with ASD, providing support and guidance to help them progress through their Primary School years
  • Support children in the afterschool club, working with a range of children aged 4 to 11
  • Assist with planning and delivering activities, ensuring the children's needs are met
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other staff members to ensure a smooth and effective support system

Requirements:

  • SEN experience preferred but not essential
  • Positive, proactive, and supportive attitude
  • Ability to work with children with special educational needs
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
